This morning the Australian Government released a statement regarding humanitarian assistance in response to the devastating earthquake in Morocco last Friday night.
The joint media release stated that Australia will provide $1 million in emergency humanitarian assistance. Funds will be provided through local Moroccan organisations such as the Red Cross and Red Crescent to deliver this life-saving assistance which encompasses emergency shelter, first aid, protection, and psychological support.
We greatly welcome the kind aid and support from the Australian Government during this tragic and difficult time.
