Presentation of Credentials to the Governor-General of Australia by H.E. Mrs. Wassane Zailachi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco

The Ambassador of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Mrs. Wassane Zailachi presented, on Wednesday 9th February 2022, her Letters of Credence to the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, accompanied by Her Excellency Mrs. Linda Hurley.

 Ambassador Zailachi seized this opportunity to convey the most cordial greetings and wishes of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to His Excellency David Hurley and to all Australians. Afterward, the Governor-General and Ambassador Zailachi had constructive and fruitful discussions regarding shared values of democracy, openness, multiculturalism, political and economic liberalism by the two countries. 

Ambassador Zailachi also shared with His Excellency the latest achievements in the economic and social fields that have been made by Morocco under the visionary Leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in particular the genuine proactive approach adopted by the Kingdom to tackle challenging situations by implementing projects of strategic importance, at the national, regional and global levels, making Morocco an African leader on various global issues. 

Finally, Her Excellency highlighted the proven fact that Morocco is a very reliable and serious partner for Australians as it is for others around the world. Hence, it is time to further consolidate bilateral cooperation and explore adequate partnerships capable of addressing new emerging challenges to meet the aspirations of our two peoples.
