Biometric Passport

The biometric passport is an individual travel document. It is delivered without condition of age to any Moroccan citizen who requests it, except in cases of which a court order states otherwise. The biometric passport has validity of 5 years for adults and 3 years for children of less than three years old; The biometric passport is not extendible.

The biometric passport is delivered on request of interested party or its legal representative in case of minors or persons placed under supervision. 

For the adults, the biometric passport is established on the basis of the ID or a receipt of the request for getting the ID, delivered by the qualified Consular Service.

For the minors of less than 12 years, who do not have an ID, the biometric passport will be established on the basis of birth certificate.

  • Original passport (in case of loss: declaration of loss)
  • Passport Form .pdf
  • Updated consular registration (Consular Registration Form.pdf)
  • A valid CNIE  (photocopy)
  • Two identical and recent passport photographs on white or light blue background of format 35 mm x 45 mm.
  • A prepaid self addressed envelope (Registered Post, Express Post).

  • Original passport (in case of loss: declaration of loss)
  • Passport Form .pdf
  • Updated consular registration (Consular Registration Form.pdf)
  • A valid CNIE (original & photocopy)
  • Two identical and recent passport photographs on white or light blue background of format 35 mm x 45 mm.
  • Identity document of the legal representative (original & photocopy).
  • A document in proof of the quality of the legal representative and bond with the person under supervision, if it is about a legal representative other than that of the father or mother. 
  • Obligatory presence of the person under supervision and his/her legal representative.
  • A prepaid self addressed envelope (Registered Post, Express Post).

  • Original passport (in case of loss: declaration of loss)
  • Passport Form .pdf
  • Updated consular registration (Consular Registration Form.pdf)
  • A valid CNIE (original & photocopy) OR
  • A photocopy of the receipt of application for the delivery or the renewal of the ID: 
    • In the event of the introduction of the receipt of the application of the CNIE, the interested party must also provide a birth certificate or an integral copy of the birth certificate less than 6 months old. 
  • Two identical and recent passport photographs on white or light blue background of format 35 mm x 45 mm. 
  • In the event of renewal, the old passport must be provided.
  • A prepaid self addressed envelope (Registered Post, Express Post).
  • Original passport (in case of loss: declaration of loss)
  • Passport Form .pdf
  • Registration at the qualified Consular Service.
  • A birth certificae or an integral copy of the birth certificate, less than 6 months old, or copies of family record book (the old "booklet of identity and marital status" is not accepted). 
    • This document must mention the full name of interested and the names of his/her parents in Arabic language and Latin characters. 
  • Two identical and recent passport photographs on white or light blue background of format 35 mm x 45 mm. 
  • In the case of renewal, the old passport must be presented.
  • A prepaid self addressed envelope (Registered Post, Express Post).


Passport renewal

  • Applications forms to be filled and signed:
  • 4 passport size photographs.
  • Moroccan National Identity Card (CNIE) - still valid. 
  • Original Moroccan Passport. 
  • Copy of foreign passport if naturalized citizen. 
  • Copy of certificate of residence status (visa or permit). 
  • A prepaid self addressed envelope (Registered Post, Express Post).
